The New York Daily News devotes 21 paragraphs to a review of the life of Mayor David Dinkins -- the first African American mayor of the Big Apple. (Not sure if it's online -- it's part of the paper's dead tree "Black History Month" insert.)
Only 2 paragraphs are actually devoted to his time in office. All of the sentences are in the negative -- crime and budget deficits. It wasn't pretty.
Fast forward from 1989 and we continue to celebrate a President's historical election.
But in twenty year's time will only a handful of sentences do justice to Obama's term -- especially all of them in the negative?
We can only wait and see.
